UK Trade Deal to Make Over 40 Foreign Liquor Brands Cheaper in UP

Over 40 premium and luxury Scotch whisky, gin, and other liquor brands from the United Kingdom will soon be available at lower prices in Uttar Pradesh cities. This reduction is a result of the India-UK comprehensive trade deal (CETA). The excise department is revising Maximum Retail Prices (MRPs) for several popular brands, including Chivas Regal and Glenfiddich 18. Officials will verify import costs to ensure consumers benefit from the reduced prices. This move aims to make imported spirits more accessible to consumers in the state.
