India has only 67,657 public EV charging points, far short of the 13.2 lakh needed by 2030. This infrastructure gap hinders the country's electric vehicle ambitions, despite a significant increase from previous years. Most existing chargers are slow, and nearly 80% are concentrated in just 10 states, creating accessibility issues for users in other regions. This shortfall poses a challenge as EV sales continue to rise.
