Bhogapuram Airport Construction Damages Roads, Isolates Villages
The Hindu · india
Villagers near the Bhogapuram airport in Vizianagaram district report that heavy vehicles used for construction have severely damaged local roads. This has left several villages, including Dibbalapalem and Ravada, cut off and isolated from each other. Farmers are struggling to reach their fields, unable to transport produce or inputs, with some calling the situation a "Herculean task." Officials cite a shortage of funds as the reason for delayed road repairs. Air passengers also face connectivity issues, needing to use the highway to access the airport.
