Navi Mumbai Man Loses Rs 15 Lakh in Forex Trading Scam by Online Friend

A 56-year-old chief manager from Navi Mumbai has been defrauded of ₹14.72 lakh by a woman he met on the Travel Buddy App. The accused, identified as Meher Sachdeva, befriended the victim and convinced him to invest in online Forex trading by promising high returns. She introduced him to accomplices on Telegram, where he was guided to invest money into bank accounts provided by them. After investing from October 4 onwards and not receiving returns for a month, the victim realised he was cheated and filed a police complaint.

नवी मुंबई के 56 वर्षीय चीफ मैनेजर को Travel Buddy App पर मिली एक महिला ने ₹14.72 लाख का चूना लगा दिया। आरोपी, जिसकी पहचान मेहर सचदेवा के रूप में हुई है, ने पीड़ित से दोस्ती की और ऊंचे मुनाफे का वादा करके उसे ऑनलाइन फॉरेक्स ट्रेडिंग में निवेश करने के लिए मना लिया। उसने उसे टेलीग्राम पर साथियों से मिलवाया, जहां उसे उनके द्वारा दिए गए बैंक खातों में पैसे निवेश करने का निर्देश दिया गया। 4 अक्टूबर से निवेश करने के बाद और एक महीने तक कोई रिटर्न न मिलने पर, पीड़ित को एहसास हुआ कि उसे धोखा दिया गया है और उसने पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई।
