Qantas Flight Cancelled Due To Bedbug Outbreak On Boeing 787 Dreamliner

BBC World · world

A Qantas flight from Rome to Perth was cancelled on Saturday after a bedbug infestation was discovered on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Passengers on the previous flight from Perth to Rome had complained of being bitten by bugs, with antihistamine supplies running out. The airline grounded the aircraft for a "deep clean" and apologised to affected customers, providing accommodation and rebooking them on alternative flights within 48 hours. Bedbugs are small parasites whose bites can be itchy but do not typically cause serious health issues.
