The Congress party has criticized the EC recent press note regarding the voter list controversy, calling it a "wishy-washy" attempt at damage control. Party leader Jairam Ramesh stated the EC's note did not deny the core allegations and avoided addressing the alleged targeting of Gen Z voters. He pointed out that the EC's response did not refute the story's findings and questioned the handling of voter deletions in states like Goa, Karnataka, and Telangana.
