कर्नाटक के जेंडर माइनॉरिटी और इंटरसेक्स समुदायों ने राज्य सरकार से एक कल्याण बोर्ड बनाने की मांग की है। उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार द्वारा हाल ही में पारित ट्रांसजेंडर्स (अधिकारों का संरक्षण) संशोधन अधिनियम, 2026 का विरोध करने के लिए एक अध्यादेश जारी करने का भी अनुरोध किया है। इसका मकसद राज्य में ट्रांसजेंडर समुदाय की विशेष चिंताओं को दूर करना और उनके अधिकारों व सहायता को बेहतर बनाना है।
