A mini-truck carrying poultry collided with a sand-laden truck parked on the road. Four occupants of the mini-truck died instantly, while the fifth succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital. All victims were residents of Kaliachak in Malda district. Police suspect the mini-truck driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, potentially exacerbated by traffic restrictions on the highway.
