Man Held For Attempting To Set Partner Ablaze

A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to kill his live-in partner by setting her on fire in Kollam, Kerala. The accused, Reji, reportedly poured paint thinner on the victim, Lissy, and ignited it following an argument. Lissy sustained burn injuries to her face, neck, and chest and is receiving treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. The couple had been living together for three months, and Reji was reportedly unhappy with Lissy going to work. Police have remanded Reji in judicial custody as investigations continue.

केरल के कोल्लम में 42 साल के एक आदमी को अपनी लिव-इन पार्टनर को आग लगाकर मारने की कोशिश करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। आरोप है कि रेजी नाम के शख्स ने पीड़ित लिसी पर पेंट थिनर डाला और बहस के बाद आग लगा दी। लिसी के चेहरे, गर्दन और छाती पर जलने के निशान आए हैं और उसका इलाज थिरुवनंतपुरम मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल में चल रहा है। यह जोड़ा तीन महीने से साथ रह रहा था और रेजी कथित तौर पर लिसी के काम पर जाने से नाखुश था। पुलिस ने रेजी को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया है और जांच जारी है।
