Anant Singh's Bail Revoked by SC, Must Surrender by December 1

The Supreme Court has revoked the bail granted to Bihar politician Anant Kumar Singh in the murder case of his rival Dularchand Yadav. A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and PV Varale ordered Singh to surrender by December 1, criticizing the Patna High Court for not adequately considering the crime's seriousness and Singh's criminal record. Dularchand Yadav was murdered on October 30, 2025, during election campaigning in Mokama Tal. Singh and his aides allegedly assaulted Yadav and ran him over with an SUV.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बिहार के नेता अनंत कुमार सिंह को उनके प्रतिद्वंद्वी दुलारचंद यादव की हत्या के मामले में मिली जमानत रद्द कर दी है। जस्टिस एमएम सुंदरेश और पीवी वरले की बेंच ने सिंह को 1 दिसंबर तक सरेंडर करने का आदेश दिया। कोर्ट ने पटना हाई कोर्ट की इस बात के लिए आलोचना की कि उसने अपराध की गंभीरता और सिंह के आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड पर पर्याप्त रूप से विचार नहीं किया। दुलारचंद यादव की हत्या 30 अक्टूबर, 2025 को मोकामा ताल में चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान हुई थी। सिंह और उनके साथियों पर यादव को पीटने और एसयूवी से कुचलने का आरोप है।
