Aaj Tak · india
Controversial posters have appeared in Siliguri, West Bengal, during Durga Puja celebrations, urging Hindus to purchase meat and biryani exclusively from Hindu-owned shops. The posters, displayed by the Hindu Jagran Manch, were placed near the Tarun Tirtha Club's puja ground and even in front of state minister Shankar Ghosh's residence. While the Hindu Jagran Manch claims the posters aim to promote Hindu unity, political leaders have condemned them as divisive propaganda. Former Siliguri Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya criticized the state government and alleged the BJP's involvement in spreading religious hatred.
