Gym Owner 'Mohammad Deepak' Arrested in Uttarakhand for Alleged Assault and Threats

Deepak Kumar, a gym owner from Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, known for confronting Bajrang Dal members earlier this year, was arrested on Thursday. Police stated the arrest was a preventive measure due to concerns about a breach of peace. A businessman, Sanjeev Tonk, had filed a complaint alleging Deepak abused, assaulted, and threatened to kill him. Investigations, including review of CCTV footage, led to the addition of more charges. Deepak had previously gained attention when he identified himself as 'Mohammad Deepak' during an incident involving a Muslim shopkeeper.
