वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण की अध्यक्षता में हुई 57वीं GST काउंसिल की बैठक में GST प्रशासन और प्रक्रियाओं को सुव्यवस्थित करने के उद्देश्य से महत्वपूर्ण सुधारों को मंजूरी दी गई है। ये बदलाव, जो 1 अप्रैल, 2027 से प्रभावी होंगे, व्यापार करने में आसानी पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं। एक प्रमुख सुधार में करदाता पंजीकरण के लिए एक नई प्रणाली शामिल है, जिसमें कम जोखिम वाले आवेदकों के लिए अनुमोदन में तेजी लाने के लिए 'ब्लैक-लिस्ट' दृष्टिकोण अपनाया जाएगा। काउंसिल ने ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से आपूर्ति करने वाले छोटे करदाताओं के लिए सरलीकृत पंजीकरण पर भी चर्चा की, जिससे व्यवसायों के लिए लंबे समय से चली आ रही समस्याओं का समाधान हो सके।
