Ladakh's snow leopard safari has been ranked fourth globally by the Wildlife Experience Index, scoring 85.5 out of 100. This ranking places it among the world's best wildlife encounters, behind only specific expeditions in Africa and Antarctica. India offers seven prime locations for spotting the elusive 'Ghost of the Mountains,' with Ladakh's Hemis National Park being a top choice. The government has also launched India's first High-Altitude Wildlife Safari in Ladakh, aiming to involve local communities and minimize animal disturbance.
