Seven Odisha Public Universities Lack Valid NAAC Accreditation
Times of India · education
As of November 1, only 10 out of Odisha's 17 general public universities hold valid accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Seven universities have either not renewed their accreditation or have never been accredited, with staff shortages and leadership gaps cited as primary reasons. This lack of accreditation affects academic standards and eligibility for research grants and government funding. Many colleges also lack valid accreditation, leaving their quality unassessed.
