Russians aged 60+ may reach 25.4% by 2030

The share of Russians aged 60 and older is projected to reach 25.4% by 2030, according to Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko. By 2025, this demographic is expected to constitute 24.4% of the population, totaling 35.6 million people. This older population accounts for over 30% of hospital admissions and ambulance calls, and more than 50% of high-tech surgeries, indicating a significant burden on healthcare resources. Surgical procedures have seen substantial increases since 2019.

रूस के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मिखाइल मुराश्को के अनुसार, 2030 तक 60 साल और उससे ज़्यादा उम्र के रूसी लोगों की आबादी 25.4% हो जाएगी। 2025 तक, यह संख्या 24.4% यानी 3.56 करोड़ लोगों तक पहुँचने का अनुमान है। यह बड़ी उम्र की आबादी अस्पतालों में 30% से ज़्यादा दाखिलों और एम्बुलेंस कॉल के लिए ज़िम्मेदार है। साथ ही, ज़्यादातर हाई-टेक सर्जरी भी इन्हीं की होती हैं, जिससे स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं पर भारी बोझ पड़ रहा है।
