RTI Act Doesn't Allow Repetitive Proceedings: Haryana Panel

The Haryana State Information Commission has ruled that the Right to Information Act, 2005, cannot be used for filing multiple applications or complaints on the same issue. State Information Commissioner Ajay Sura stated that while RTI is a statutory right, it does not grant an unrestricted right to institute repetitive proceedings. This ruling aims to ensure efficient utilization of administrative resources and prevent the abuse of the RTI mechanism.

हरियाणा राज्य सूचना आयोग ने फैसला सुनाया है कि एक ही मुद्दे पर बार-बार अर्जी या शिकायत करने के लिए सूचना का अधिकार (RTI) अधिनियम, 2005 का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया जा सकता। राज्य सूचना आयुक्त अजय सूरा ने कहा कि RTI एक कानूनी अधिकार है, लेकिन यह बार-बार एक ही मामला उठाने की खुली छूट नहीं देता। इस फैसले से सरकारी संसाधनों का सही इस्तेमाल होगा और RTI का दुरुपयोग रुकेगा।
