Air India Express Fined Rs 27K For Bicycle

Air India Express has been ordered by a Karnataka district consumer commission to refund Rs 2,000 for special bicycle handling and pay Rs 25,000 in compensation and costs. The passenger paid for special equipment handling for his bicycle, valued at Rs 3 lakh, for a Chennai-Mangalore flight on July 27, 2025. Despite assurances, the bicycle was placed on the regular baggage belt.
