Two Latehar Cops Suspended After Tribal Woman Alleges Assault and Harassment

Two police personnel, including the officer in-charge of a police station in Latehar district, have been suspended following allegations by a 33-year-old tribal woman. She claims police assaulted, sexually harassed, and illegally detained her during an operation related to suspected opium possession. Chief Minister Hemant Soren deemed the allegations unacceptable and ordered an investigation.
