The US military has redirected 100 commercial vessels over the past 60 days since resuming its maritime blockade on Iran in July. US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated its forces are focused on enforcing this blockade. The US resumed airstrikes on July 8, accusing Iran of violating agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of global oil and LNG trade passes.
