Dehradun Road Repair Deadline Missed As Inspections Remain Incomplete

Dehradun is set to miss its deadline for repairing damaged roads, as inspections of 92 identified stretches are still incomplete. Out of 46 officials assigned the task, only 36 had submitted their findings by last week, delaying the necessary assessment. Residents continue to face difficulties due to pothole-ridden roads and disruptive, often temporary, repair work by various agencies. District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan warned that officials would face action if the quality of repairs suffers due to delays.

देहरादून में खराब सड़कों की मरम्मत की समय सीमा चूकने वाली है, क्योंकि 92 चिन्हित हिस्सों का निरीक्षण अभी भी अधूरा है। इस काम के लिए नियुक्त 46 अधिकारियों में से केवल 36 ने पिछले हफ्ते तक अपनी रिपोर्ट सौंपी थी, जिससे ज़रूरी मूल्यांकन में देरी हुई। विभिन्न एजेंसियों द्वारा गड्ढों वाली सड़कों और विघटनकारी, अक्सर अस्थायी, मरम्मत के काम से निवासियों को लगातार परेशानी हो रही है। जिला मजिस्ट्रेट आशीष चौहान ने चेतावनी दी है कि देरी के कारण मरम्मत की गुणवत्ता प्रभावित होने पर अधिकारियों पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
