UP Farmer Earns Lakhs From Grafted Brinjal, Then Sells Seedlings

Uttar Pradesh farmer Gaurav Maurya achieved significant success by cultivating grafted brinjal on a small plot of land, earning a net profit of ₹2.27 lakh. This initial success inspired him to expand his venture. The following year, Maurya transitioned into producing and selling grafted tomato and brinjal seedlings, selling nearly 75,000 units and generating an additional ₹3.37 lakh in net profit. His nursery now supplies these advanced seedlings to farmers across multiple districts, including those beyond Uttar Pradesh. Grafting helps plants resist diseases like bacterial wilt and nematode infestations.

उत्तर प्रदेश के किसान गौरव मौर्या ने एक छोटे से खेत में ग्राफ्टेड बैंगन की खेती करके ₹2.27 लाख का शुद्ध मुनाफा कमाया। इस शुरुआती सफलता से उन्हें अपना काम बढ़ाने की प्रेरणा मिली। अगले साल, मौर्या ने ग्राफ्टेड टमाटर और बैंगन के पौधे तैयार करके बेचने का काम शुरू किया, जिसमें उन्होंने लगभग 75,000 पौधे बेचे और ₹3.37 लाख का अतिरिक्त शुद्ध मुनाफा कमाया। उनका नर्सरी अब उत्तर प्रदेश के अलावा कई जिलों के किसानों को ये उन्नत पौधे सप्लाई करता है। ग्राफ्टिंग से पौधों को बैक्टीरियल विल्ट और नेमाटोड जैसे रोगों से लड़ने में मदद मिलती है।
