The DMK has criticized Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's visit to the UK, alleging he went to attend his friend Ajith Kumar's car race instead of attracting investments. Vijay waved the green flag at the Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone, where Ajith competed. The TVK party defended Vijay, stating it's not improper to meet a friend and that such visits enhance 'brand Tamil Nadu'.
