The New York Rangers have unexpectedly placed veteran goaltender James Reimer on waivers. This decision comes just days after a difficult performance where Reimer allowed multiple goals in a single period against the Kings. The move is intended to create roster space for the anticipated return of goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, who has been sidelined due to injury. This waiver placement signifies a significant shift in the team's goaltending strategy as they prepare for Korpisalo's comeback.
