RBI Files Caveat in High Court Against Tata

The Reserve Bank of India has filed a caveat in the Bombay High Court, anticipating a legal challenge from Tata Sons. The central bank rejected Tata Sons' application for deregistration as a core investment company, which would have exempted it from stock market listing. RBI has requested to be heard before any court order is passed. Tata Trusts, the principal shareholder, is considering seeking reasons for the rejection and a reconsideration from the RBI.
