Court: No Right To Pollute Rivers Religiously

The Delhi High Court has stated that no one has the right to pollute rivers in the name of religion. The court was hearing a case concerning the dumping of religious offerings and waste into the Yamuna river. It emphasized that environmental protection is paramount and religious practices cannot be used as an excuse for pollution.

कोर्ट: नदियों को धार्मिक रूप से प्रदूषित करने का अधिकार नहीं

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने कहा है कि धर्म के नाम पर नदियों को प्रदूषित करने का किसी को हक़ नहीं है। कोर्ट यमुना नदी में धार्मिक सामग्री और कचरा फेंकने से जुड़े मामले की सुनवाई कर रहा था। कोर्ट ने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा सबसे ज़रूरी है और प्रदूषण के लिए धार्मिक प्रथाओं का बहाना नहीं बनाया जा सकता।
