Karnataka Govt. Orders Banks Not To Adjust Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Funds For Loans

The Karnataka government has instructed the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) against adjusting the monthly ₹2,000 installment of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme towards any loans or dues. Additional Chief Secretary Uma Mahadevan issued guidelines to all financial institutions, including commercial and cooperative banks, to refrain from adjusting these funds. Banks are also prohibited from auto-debiting the amount from beneficiaries' accounts. Any money already deducted without explicit written consent must be immediately re-credited to the women's accounts.

कर्नाटक सरकार ने स्टेट लेवल बैंकर्स कमेटी (SLBC) को निर्देश दिया है कि वे गृह लक्ष्मी योजना की ₹2,000 की मासिक किस्त को किसी भी लोन या बकाया राशि के लिए एडजस्ट न करें। एडिशनल चीफ सेक्रेटरी उमा महादेवन ने सभी वित्तीय संस्थानों, जिनमें कमर्शियल और कोऑपरेटिव बैंक शामिल हैं, को इन फंडों को एडजस्ट करने से बचने के लिए दिशानिर्देश जारी किए हैं। बैंकों को लाभार्थियों के खातों से यह राशि ऑटो-डेबिट करने से भी मना किया गया है। यदि किसी महिला की स्पष्ट लिखित सहमति के बिना कोई राशि काटी गई है, तो उसे तुरंत उनके खातों में वापस जमा किया जाना चाहिए।
