Giridih Woman Murder: Lover and Wife Arrested After Dispute Over Rs 1.5 Lakh

Police in Giridih district have arrested a 40-year-old man and his wife for the murder of a 24-year-old woman, Laxmi Kumari. The victim was found dead near Chichaki railway station on September 20. Authorities allege the murder stemmed from a dispute over Rs 1.5 lakh, which the accused, Vinod Mandal, was asked to provide for her higher education. Mandal reportedly strangled Kumari on September 19 after she approached him for the funds. Investigations are ongoing, with police recovering a motorcycle, a sack, and a phone from the scene.

गिरिडीह जिले की पुलिस ने 24 साल की लक्ष्मी कुमारी की हत्या के आरोप में 40 साल के एक व्यक्ति और उसकी पत्नी को गिरफ्तार किया है। पीड़ित का शव 20 सितंबर को चिचाकी रेलवे स्टेशन के पास मिला था। अधिकारियों का आरोप है कि यह हत्या 1.5 लाख रुपये के विवाद के कारण हुई, जो कि आरोपी विनोद मंडल से उसकी उच्च शिक्षा के लिए देने को कहा गया था। मंडल पर आरोप है कि उसने 19 सितंबर को कुमारी की गला घोंटकर हत्या कर दी, जब वह पैसों के लिए उसके पास गई थी। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है और घटनास्थल से एक मोटरसाइकिल, एक बोरा और एक फोन बरामद किया है।
