Gas Cylinder Explodes at IIT Powai Workers' Shed, Injuring Five Including Two Minors

A gas cylinder reportedly exploded while cooking in a shed used by private workers at an under-construction building on the IIT Powai campus on Thursday night. The incident occurred at Hostel No. 6, leading to a fire in the workers' shed. Five people, including two minors aged 12 and 9, sustained injuries. All injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition. Four were transferred to Kasturba Hospital, and one was admitted to Rajawadi Hospital for further treatment.

गुरुवार रात को आईआईटी पवई कैम्पस में निर्माणाधीन बिल्डिंग में प्राइवेट मजदूरों के शेड में खाना बनाते समय कथित तौर पर गैस सिलेंडर फट गया। यह घटना हॉस्टल नंबर 6 के पास हुई, जिससे मजदूरों के शेड में आग लग गई। 12 और 9 साल के दो नाबालिगों समेत पांच लोग घायल हो गए। सभी घायलों की हालत स्थिर बताई जा रही है। चार को कस्तूरबा अस्पताल और एक को आगे के इलाज के लिए राजावाड़ी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।
