Govt Plans Easier Vehicle Ownership Transfer Process

The Indian government is preparing to simplify the process of transferring vehicle ownership for buyers and sellers of used cars and bikes. Road Transport and Highways Minister Harsh Malhotra stated that new policies are being developed to address the difficulties people face when transferring registration certificates (RC). The initiative aims to streamline these procedures, acknowledging the need for uniformity across all states. Currently, transfer times vary significantly, with some states like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu performing well, while others like Uttar Pradesh take much longer.

भारत सरकार पुरानी कारों और बाइकों के खरीदारों और विक्रेताओं के लिए वाहन मालिकाना हक बदलने की प्रक्रिया को सरल बनाने की तैयारी कर रही है। सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री हर्ष मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि पंजीकरण प्रमाण पत्र (आरसी) के हस्तांतरण में लोगों को आने वाली कठिनाइयों को दूर करने के लिए नई नीतियों का विकास किया जा रहा है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य इन प्रक्रियाओं को सुव्यवस्थित करना है, और सभी राज्यों में एकरूपता की आवश्यकता को स्वीकार करना है। वर्तमान में, हस्तांतरण के समय में काफी भिन्नता है, आंध्र प्रदेश, केरल और तमिलनाडु जैसे कुछ राज्य अच्छा प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं, जबकि उत्तर प्रदेश जैसे अन्य राज्यों में बहुत अधिक समय लगता है।
