The Income Tax Department is encouraging select taxpayers with investments in UAE properties to disclose their foreign assets under a one-time compliance scheme. This initiative, the Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers – Disclosure Scheme, 2026 (FAST-DS), offers an opportunity to declare unreported foreign assets and income before the December 31 deadline. The department will share information on overseas assets to aid compliance. Outreach programs and regional committees are being established to assist taxpayers with queries and concerns regarding the scheme's provisions.
