Virginia's 1920 Textile Mill Revitalized Into Apartments and Offices
Times of India · business
A historic 1920 textile mill in Danville, Virginia, once known as White Mill, has been redeveloped into a mixed-use complex named Dan River Falls. After closing in 1996, the 650,000-square-foot building stood largely empty for decades. The $110 million project includes 190 apartments, office space, and retail facilities, with the first residents moving in November 2024. This transformation aims to preserve the city's industrial heritage while bringing the underused structure back to economic life.
