चक्रवात मुरसु ने आंध्र प्रदेश के ओंगोल के पास सुबह करीब 1 बजे दस्तक दी। तटीय इलाकों में भारी बारिश और 120 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे तक की रफ्तार से हवाएं चल रही हैं। 1 से 1.5 मीटर ऊंची लहरों के साथ तूफान के कारण बापटला, कृष्णा और प्रकाशम जिलों के निचले इलाकों में बाढ़ का खतरा पैदा हो गया है। जैसे-जैसे चक्रवात क्षेत्र को प्रभावित कर रहा है, अधिकारी स्थिति की बारीकी से निगरानी कर रहे हैं।
