Qatar Announces Massive Solar Plant Project For Lebanon

Qatar's Prime Minister announced plans to establish a "massive" solar plant in Lebanon to help alleviate the country's severe energy crisis. During a visit to Beirut, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam, to discuss energy cooperation. QatarEnergy and TotalEnergies will jointly develop the project, which will be funded and implemented by Qatar without cost to the Lebanese state. This initiative aims to benefit both the Lebanese economy and participating Qatari companies, providing much-needed electricity amid Lebanon's ongoing financial collapse.
