India is developing a new 2,200-kilometer expressway connecting Delhi to Chennai, which will traverse seven states. This extensive corridor will begin on the Yamuna Expressway and connect via the Bundelkhand Expressway to the Hyderabad-Chennai Expressway. The seven states benefiting from this route are Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. This new route aims to reduce travel time and fuel consumption compared to existing options, including the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
