Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have continued their sell-off in Indian equities, withdrawing over ₹52,000 crore in October. This outflow surpasses the ₹35,861 crore withdrawn in September, marking the second consecutive month of significant divestment. Despite inflows in July and August, FPIs have now pulled ₹3.12 lakh crore from Indian equities in 2026 year-to-date. High crude oil prices, rising US bond yields, and a strong dollar are cited as reasons for the negative sentiment among foreign investors.
