कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को पक्षपात का आरोप लगाते हुए तत्काल हटाने की मांग की है। खड़गे ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को कथित तौर पर सीईसी पर दबाव डालने के लिए नैतिक आधार पर इस्तीफा दे देना चाहिए। उन्होंने चुनावी रोल के विशेष गहन संशोधन के पीछे निर्णय लेने की प्रक्रिया पर सवाल उठाया और पूछा कि दो चुनाव आयुक्तों को 'आंतरिक पोर्टल' से क्यों बाहर रखा गया। खड़गे ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र की रक्षा और सभी योग्य नागरिकों के लिए निष्पक्ष चुनाव सुनिश्चित करने के लिए चुनाव आयोग की स्वतंत्रता महत्वपूर्ण है।
