Studying Abroad May Become Costlier As Rupee Weakens
NDTV · education
The Indian rupee has weakened against major global currencies, making studying abroad potentially more expensive for students. This depreciation means that the cost of tuition, living expenses, and other associated fees will likely increase when converted into dollars or other foreign currencies. Parents considering sending their children overseas may face higher financial burdens. Waiting for a more favourable exchange rate could offer savings, but it also carries the risk of further rupee depreciation, potentially leading to even greater costs.
