The Supreme Court has sought responses from the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners on a petition filed by INDIA bloc functionaries, including Rahul Gandhi. The petition alleges irregularities in the voter list, arbitrary deletion of voters, undemocratic functioning of the poll panel, and flaws in EVM usage. A bench of the CJI stated that no one can browbeat the court and dismissed suggestions of intimidation through crowds. Notices were also issued on other petitions questioning the voter list process, which will be taken up state-wise.
