Supreme Court On Senior Punjab Cop's Bail

The Supreme Court on Tuesday described the case against suspended Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar as a "100 per cent case of dismissal" while hearing his second bail plea. Bhullar was arrested by the CBI in October last year in connection with a corruption case. The court indicated it would examine the bail plea after material witnesses are examined.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मंगलवार को पंजाब पुलिस के निलंबित डीआईजी हरचरण सिंह भुल्लर के खिलाफ मामले को "सौ फीसदी बर्खास्तगी का मामला" बताया। कोर्ट भुल्लर की दूसरी जमानत याचिका पर सुनवाई कर रहा था। सीबीआई ने पिछले साल अक्टूबर में भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया था। कोर्ट ने कहा कि मुख्य गवाहों की जांच के बाद ही जमानत याचिका पर विचार किया जाएगा।
