NRAI President Calls for Larger Shooter Pool For Greater Consistency

Times of India · sports

Indian shooters achieved a decent performance at the Asian Games, securing 15 medals including 3 gold. However, NRAI president Kalikesh Singh Deo believes India could have performed better, particularly in the air pistol events where the country drew a blank. Deo cited frequent changes in the men's air pistol team composition as a cause for inconsistency, despite an objective selection policy. The federation plans to address this by working with a larger pool of athletes to foster stability and provide more opportunities for international exposure.
