This advisory follows recent student unrest at Chitkara University and Lovely Professional University (LPU) triggered by unverified claims. PU stressed that such misinformation can disrupt the university's peaceful academic environment. Students are urged to verify information through official channels, maintain discipline, and report genuine concerns to authorities, rather than participating in or supporting unlawful activities.

पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी (PU) ने अपने छात्रों को सोशल मीडिया पर चल रही अविश्वसनीय जानकारी पर विश्वास करने या उसे साझा करने के खिलाफ चेतावनी जारी की है। यह सलाह हाल ही में चितकारा यूनिवर्सिटी और लवली प्रोफेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी (LPU) में अविश्वसनीय दावों के कारण हुए छात्र अशांति के बाद आई है। PU ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि ऐसी गलत सूचना विश्वविद्यालय के शांतिपूर्ण शैक्षणिक माहौल को बाधित कर सकती है। छात्रों से आग्रह किया जाता है कि वे आधिकारिक चैनलों के माध्यम से जानकारी सत्यापित करें, अनुशासन बनाए रखें, और अवैध गतिविधियों में भाग लेने या उनका समर्थन करने के बजाय वास्तविक चिंताओं को अधिकारियों को रिपोर्ट करें।
