France's football ethics body, the Conseil national de l’Éthique et de Déontologie (CNE), has called on fans to uphold neutrality during ongoing nationwide student protests. The CNE acknowledged that young supporters, often students themselves, may feel compelled to express solidarity with demonstrators. However, the body emphasized that political neutrality is a fundamental principle enshrined in sports laws, both internationally and nationally. It reminded fans that political, ideological, or religious displays are prohibited in stadiums, aiming to keep sport a unifying force.
