Goa Nightclub Fire: HC Orders Owners To Pay ₹20 Lakh Each To Victims' Kin

The Bombay High Court has directed Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, to deposit an interim compensation of ₹20 lakh each for the families of the 25 people killed in a devastating fire last year. The directive came while hearing a petition regarding relief for victims of the December 2025 blaze in North Goa. The victims' families had sought ₹50 lakh each, while the owners had offered ₹25 lakh.

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने 'बर्च बाय रोमियो लेन' नाइटक्लब के मालिकों, सौरभ और गौरव लूथरा को पिछले साल लगी भीषण आग में मारे गए 25 लोगों के परिवारों को ₹20-₹20 लाख की अंतरिम मुआवजा राशि जमा करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह आदेश उत्तरी गोवा में दिसंबर 2025 की आग के पीड़ितों को राहत देने के संबंध में दायर एक याचिका पर सुनवाई के दौरान आया। पीड़ितों के परिवारों ने ₹50-₹50 लाख की मांग की थी, जबकि मालिकों ने ₹25-₹25 लाख की पेशकश की थी।
