13 Crore Names Removed From Voter Lists

Over 13 crore names were removed from draft voter lists during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) across 30 states and Union Territories. Individuals whose names are missing can apply for inclusion through continuous updation by approaching their Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). Form 6 is used for omitted voters, and special enrolment drives are being launched to assist eligible applicants. Booth Level Officers will visit homes to collect documents for cases with missing links or inconsistencies, with hearings potentially held online.

विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण (SIR) के दौरान 30 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में मसौदा मतदाता सूचियों से 13 करोड़ से अधिक नाम हटा दिए गए। जिन व्यक्तियों के नाम गायब हैं, वे अपने निर्वाचक पंजीकरण अधिकारी (ERO) से संपर्क करके निरंतर अद्यतन के माध्यम से शामिल करने के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं। फॉर्म 6 का उपयोग छूटे हुए मतदाताओं के लिए किया जाता है, और पात्र आवेदकों की सहायता के लिए विशेष नामांकन अभियान चलाए जा रहे हैं। बूथ स्तर के अधिकारी लापता कड़ियों या विसंगतियों वाले मामलों के लिए दस्तावेज एकत्र करने हेतु घरों का दौरा करेंगे, जिसमें सुनवाई ऑनलाइन भी हो सकती है।
