Contract health employees in Andhra Pradesh have decided to pause their strike, which began on October 6, following discussions with health officials on Saturday, October 10. The employees were demanding regularisation of services and payment of gross salaries. While the government cited financial constraints for not meeting these key demands, it agreed to non-financial requests like ex gratia for deceased staff and radiation leave for radiographers. A special committee will examine the demand for a 30% incentive. All contract staff will resume duties from October 11.

आंध्र प्रदेश में संविदा स्वास्थ्य कर्मचारियों ने शनिवार, 10 अक्टूबर को स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों के साथ चर्चा के बाद 6 अक्टूबर से शुरू हुई अपनी हड़ताल को रोकने का फैसला किया है। कर्मचारी अपनी सेवाओं को नियमित करने और सकल वेतन के भुगतान की मांग कर रहे थे। जबकि सरकार ने इन प्रमुख मांगों को पूरा न करने के लिए वित्तीय बाधाओं का हवाला दिया, उसने मृत कर्मचारियों के लिए अनुग्रह राशि और रेडियोग्राफरों के लिए विकिरण अवकाश जैसे गैर-वित्तीय अनुरोधों पर सहमति व्यक्त की। 30% प्रोत्साहन की मांग की जांच के लिए एक विशेष समिति का गठन किया जाएगा। सभी संविदा कर्मचारी 11 अक्टूबर से ड्यूटी फिर से शुरू करेंगे।
