ओमान के पास 11 अक्टूबर को एक टैंकर पर हुए ड्रोन हमले के बाद से लापता उत्तर प्रदेश के दो नाविकों, बीर बहादुर यादव और अमित सिंह के परिवार जहाज के कप्तान से जवाब मांग रहे हैं। उनका आरोप है कि कप्तान ने लापता नाविकों की ठीक से तलाशी लिए बिना ही जहाज खाली करने का आदेश दे दिया था, जिससे उनकी जान खतरे में पड़ सकती थी। रिश्तेदारों का यह भी दावा है कि जहाज के आपातकालीन अग्निशमन सिस्टम काम नहीं कर रहे थे, जिससे बचाव कार्य में बाधा आई। एक परिवार ने जहाजरानी महानिदेशालय (Directorate General of Shipping) से हस्तक्षेप और ऑपरेशन का पूरा ब्यौरा मांगने के लिए संपर्क किया है।
