Times of India · world

Civilians in Ukraine's Russian-occupied city of Oleshky are facing starvation as food supplies dwindle and evacuation efforts are stalled. Approximately 2,000 people, including nearly 50 children, are reportedly stranded. Residents are surviving on one meal a day, often foraging for edible weeds. Ukrainian authorities dropped four tonnes of emergency aid by drones, but its distribution is uncertain. The situation was raised at the UN General Assembly as a potential humanitarian catastrophe.
