She subsequently began renting out some spots, doubling the original rates to 500 yuan per month. Residents, frustrated by the increased cost and reduced availability, sued to have the sale invalidated. However, a local court ruled in Wu's favor in February 2024, upholding the purchase as legal because no laws prohibited such a large acquisition of parking spaces.
