Surveillance startup Flock Safety is facing significant pressure as its license plate reader cameras are vandalized across the US. Dozens of cities have terminated contracts due to privacy concerns and alleged misuse of technology. In August alone, 93 city and county governments cut ties with Flock, tripling the rate of contract losses. The company has launched a voluntary separation program, offering generous severance packages to employees who choose to leave.
